🌑 The Energy Is Getting Louder. Are You Listening?

Dear Beautiful Soul,

The universe is turning up the heat energetically, and whatever you've refused to release is going to get harder to ignore.

The New Moon Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 12 arrives as the Lion's Gate portal closes, and there is a lot of heat in this combination of energies. If you've been wondering why something that you thought you had resolved and decided to be ok with keeps coming up, why an old issue keeps coming back up, or why you feel like something is shifting even though you can't quite put your finger on what it is, this may be part of it.

This New Moon brings the familiar rest, reset and renew energy that we work with every month, but this New Moon also calls us to release. With the combined energies including the Solar Eclipse and the closing of Lion's Gate adding their own intensity, I invite you to review what doesn't fit in your life anymore and align with the vision you have of your future.

Sometimes what you're holding onto isn't even yours, and that can be exactly why you've had such a hard time releasing it. So before you decide you're doing something wrong because you can't seem to let it go, ask yourself:
Does this even belong to me?
You may be surprised by what comes up.

I've heard from people this week who are having trouble sleeping even though they're exhausted, feeling a strange mix of anxious and excited, or feeling like something is changing before they can explain what it is. Sometimes your body notices the shift before your mind has caught up.

🦁 Lion's Gate Closes as This New Moon Begins

The timing of this New Moon is important because it's also the closing of the Lion's Gate portal.

Lion's Gate is the peak of manifestation energy and my favourite energetic holiday of the year. It is where we get clear about what we want, put it out there with certainty and allow ourselves to believe it can become a real reality.

But what happens after you light the flame?
You have to tend it.
This is the shift from activation into cultivation.

Lion's Gate asks:
What do I want?

The New Moon asks:
What am I ready to begin?

This doesn't mean you suddenly need to have the entire plan figured out. If you know the action you need to take, take it. If you don't, ask yourself:
What is the first thing I want to accomplish in this plan?

Put that intention out there and trust that the guidance for the next step will come through this Moon cycle. You don't need to know exactly how everything will happen before you begin, but you do need to be willing to recognize the guidance when it arrives and take the action when it does.

Manifestation isn't making a wish and then waiting. We have to do the work in the physical to support what we are creating in the metaphysical. I have often shared my story of manifesting my move across the country - part of that was not having a place to live 2 weeks before moving, even though my guides had assured me it would be there! When I asked - well actually complained as to why that hadn't happened yet, they said, "You have to actually look!"

So I did.

Sure enough, an acreage magically showed up, and I was the only one to even look at it.

We lived there the first 2 years we were in Alberta, even though I was told to stay only one of those two years. That was right too, but a story for another time.

🦁♒ The Leo and Aquarius Eclipse Cycle

If you've been paying attention, you may have noticed that we've been seeing a lot of Leo and Aquarius energy together lately. These opposite signs create an interesting dynamic.

Eclipse season technically began with the Aquarius Full Moon, and now we are moving into the Leo Solar Eclipse. Leo and Aquarius sit opposite each other, so these eclipses are bringing us two sides of the same bigger story.

Leo brings us into our heart, confidence, courage, creativity, individuality and personal power. Aquarius asks us to step back, question what we've been conditioned to believe, remind us it's ok to think outside of the box. Not everyone will understand - yet and that's ok, look at the bigger picture and consider what we are creating beyond ourselves.

Eclipse cycles are about six months, so the themes coming up now can continue revealing themselves, shifting and developing throughout this cycle.

Think back to the Aquarius Full Moon. What was coming up for you then? What were you questioning? What has changed since then? What are you seeing differently now?

You don't have to have all the answers yet. But there is one question I really want you to sit with:
Are you asking for the next chapter while still holding onto the last one?
You can't embrace a new reality while constantly making room for the old one. Don't forget to turn the page.

✨ The Crystals I'm Working With This New Moon

Crystals are another amazing tool I love to work with and these are the crystals I am working with for the combined energies with this New Moon Total Eclipse.

Black Moonstone is one of my go-to New Moon crystals because it brings me inward. It supports inner wisdom, trusting the unseen and connecting with deeper intentions. I love it when I'm trying to get quiet enough to hear what actually resonates with me personally, especially when there is a lot of outside noise telling me what I should want.

Labradorite is one of my favourite crystals for transformation and stepping into your next version. It is beautiful for those times when you know you're shifting but you don't necessarily know exactly what you're becoming yet. Labradorite supports awakening potential, trusting change and allowing yourself to move into something new without needing to see the entire path first.

Clear Quartz is here for clarity, focus and conscious creation. When you're manifesting, clarity and certainty matter. You don't have to know every detail of how your manifestation will come together, but you do need to be clear about what you're asking for. With all of these energies it's important that our intentions on this New Moon as Lion's Gate closes are amplified. Clear Quartz is a beautiful companion for that kind of intentional work.

Golden Healer Quartz brings in alignment, healing old blocks and bringing intentions we make in the metaphysical into the physical. I love this one for the connection between the energetic work and the actual work. This is the stone for taking what you have put out there and getting it onto solid ground.

Green Aventurine brings growth, new opportunities and abundance. For this New Moon, I love it for the cultivation energy. You've put the intention out there, now it's time to give it attention. Notice the opportunities, create more of them. Take the next step. Nurture what you're creating.

🌑 Your New Moon Check-In

Take a little time around the New Moon to slow down and check in with yourself.

Start with What have I asked for?
Then ask yourself What is the first step to make that happen?

If you don't know the first step yet, ask yourself What is the first thing I want to accomplish in this plan? You can put the intention out there that the guidance for your next step will come through this Moon cycle so you can keep moving forward.

Then turn your attention to release.
What is blocking this from becoming a reality?

And if something keeps coming up that you cannot seem to release, ask:
Does this even belong to me?

Remember: you don't have to figure everything out tonight. You don't have to have the whole six-month eclipse cycle mapped out. You just need to be willing to listen to what is getting louder and take the next step when it becomes clear.
